Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman secretly dealt with cancer

Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman recently announced that he is recovering a surgery that removed a tumor in his prostate. The interesting fact was that he found out about the cancer back in March, but decided not to deal with it until the eighth season of DWTS ended.Len is a trouper for going through a whole season of Dancing with the Stars. He kept the news under wraps not only to America and Britain, but also many of the judges and crew for both Dancing with the Stars and British counterpart Strictly Come Dancing.
Len Goodman is a pivotal part of the judging panel for both shows because he represents the classic technique of ballroom and Latin dance. I don't think there are many dancers that have the combination of experience and willingness to say what was wrong with the celebrities.
I am happy that Goodman is safe and is scheduled to continue judging for Dancing with the Stars. If I have to sit through a season where Michael Flatley was judging, I'd quit the show and switch over to So You Think You Can Dance. I don't think that Len is replaceable, but if Len Goodman was out for recovery, who do you think should have replace him? Also, do you think you would delay cancer treatment because you were on television? Leave comments below.

Certain types of prostate tumors can be extremely slow-growing and well-controlled by hormone or implanted radioactive therapy, usually outpatient procedures. I imagine if he had a more rapidly-growing tumor or the cancer had spread to other organs, his doctors would have strongly recommended against delay.

Christine Harvey would be a fabulous replacement for Len - knowledgeable, quick-witted, and hilarious, but I suspect the network wouldn't want to take the risk on someone who hasn't done TV before.

Actually, how about bringing back Charlotte as a judge? They know how she performs on TV, and no one could ever argue about her qualifications - they're far better than Len's. She's nicer than he is, but having been coached by her, I can say that she definitely does not hold back from telling you exactly what's wrong with your dancing.
